State-of-the-art safety
The Traverse’s driver-assistance features are just as advanced as its infotainment system, if not more. Every new 2024 Traverse SUV gets a standard 360-degree camera system as well as a standard Safety Alert Seat. The latter is an exclusive GM technology that uses seat vibrations to alert you to hazards, as opposed to the traditional audiovisual warnings. This is a great advancement, as the human body responds more quickly to tactile alerts, and removing audiovisual indicators can reduce distractions behind the wheel.
The 2024 Traverse is also the first of its kind to be offered with Super Cruise™ hands-free driving technology, and it’s offered at every trim level but the base Traverse LS. On more than 400,000 miles of compatible North American roads, Super Cruise enables you to drive hands-free. It can steer, accelerate, and brake for you, even with a trailer attached. And of course, every Traverse also comes with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assistance.
