Copeland Chevrolet is proud to serve the community of Brockton, Massachusetts, by providing reliable, affordable automotive solutions for families and businesses in the area.
As a major city in Plymouth County, Brockton has been a noteworthy destination in eastern Massachusetts since it was incorporated 200 years ago. Brockton’s history dates back to the 17th century, and since then it’s become one of the 10 biggest cities in the state. It originally was part of Bridgewater before separating in the 1800s and gaining its own unique name.
Brockton is an ethnically diverse and culturally abundant town that is known for many innovations. One of its claims to fame is being the point of origin of the “mall Santa,” the first being James Edgar of Edgar's Department Store donned the jolly suit and hat.
The town prides itself on having the nickname of “The City of Champions” thanks to its rich sports heritage and achievements from native athletes like Rocco Francis Marchegiano — a.k.a. “The Brockton Blockbuster,” one of the greatest boxers in history.
There’s plenty for visitors and residents to do here in Brockton. Popular destinations include the Fuller Craft Museum and Westgate Mall. Of course, you have to spend an evening at Campanelli Stadium watching the Brockton Rox baseball team play a game.
Located an hour south of downtown Boston, Brockton is also known as “Shoe City” because it was the country’s largest shoe supplier during the Civil War—which led to the founding of now-famed office supply company W.B. Mason.
Our dealership is located at the intersection of Belmont Street and Pearl Street, so we’re right off the Fall River Expressway and close to places like Stonehill College, the Brockton VA Medical Center, and the Brockton Fairgrounds.
Whether you live in Brockton or one of the nearby communities like Easton, Raynham, or Whitman, we invite you to visit Copeland Chevrolet when you need vehicle service or to buy a new ride. We look forward to meeting you.
