Our friendly team at Copeland Chevrolet has proudly served the town of Raynham, Massachusetts, for many years by offering expert automotive services and a wide selection of Chevy models to fit our community’s needs.
Raynham’s industrial history ranges from the first successful iron works to shipbuilding, small industries, and farming. Shipbuilding was made possible along the convenient banks of the Taunton River, which staged the beginning production of small schooners before being sent downriver for final fittings in Berkley or Fall River.
Once upon a time, Raynham’s small farms were known for growing strawberries, peaches, and multiple varieties of apples. The town was also known for its sawmills, a straw hat factory, and several shoemakers. For some time, Raynham was home to a wooden box factory. The main customers for the box factory were fishing ports in larger cities like Plymouth, Boston, and even Newport, Rhode Island.
Today, the town of Raynham has grown and developed into a suburban community that’s perfect for growing families who want to raise their children in a quaint, safe, and friendly area.
Raynham was originally the eastern side of the city of Taunton. From its inaugural independence day in 1731, the town of Raynham has placed an emphasis on the importance of education. The Court’s instructions to “provide a schoolmaster to instruct their children to read and write” has developed into today’s quality school system.
The town offers enjoyment for all with recreational sports at the 300-acre Borden Colony complex; fishing, picnicking, and boating at Johnson’s Pond; and numerous nature preserves.
Our dealership is conveniently located in Brockton at the corner of Belmont Street and Pearl Street. We invite our Raynham community members to visit us at Copeland Chevrolet when you need to upgrade your vehicle or when your current ride needs maintenance.
